Three Brothers. Three Backgrounds. One Standard.

Stonekraken didn’t come from a boardroom—it came from years of working with stone, from different angles, with the same expectation: if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

SHAWN BROWN

The Foreman

With over 30 years in the masonry trade, Shawn sets the tone for how work gets done.

As the owner of Brown Bros. Masonry Inc. in Oregon City, Oregon since 2006, he has built a full-service masonry company grounded in consistency, reliability, and quality craftsmanship. His work spans everything from structural applications to detailed custom projects, always with a focus on long-term performance.

Over the years, he’s developed a passion for creating outdoor living spaces—fireplaces, kitchens, retaining walls, and gathering spaces that are built to last and designed with purpose.

He’s the one who makes sure the work is done right—the first time—and holds up for years to come.

Matt Brown

The Craftsman

Matt brings over 30 years of masonry experience, with the last 18 years running Brown Masonry Inc. in Victor, Montana.

His focus is residential stonework, where craftsmanship shows up in every detail. From large projects to custom one-of-a-kind builds, he takes pride in shaping each piece by hand and creating something that feels unique to every homeowner.

For Matt, the work is personal. It’s about taking a vision and turning it into something timeless—built with care, precision, and pride. Standing back at the end of a job and knowing it was done right never gets old.

After decades in the trade, he was the one who kept coming back to the same thought: There had to be a better way.

Jesse Brown

The Builder

Jesse brings a different kind of experience with stone. While his brothers built with it, he spent over 20 years climbing it, including years working as a guide.

He started out in construction before climbing full-time, eventually combining both paths into a career in design and fabrication.

For the past decade, he has run a custom fabrication and design shop in Bend Oregon, building everything from municipal infrastructure components to whitewater rafting frames and off-road expedition trailers.

His work includes thousands of utility hatches and access ladders installed throughout Oregon—projects that are part of the infrastructure people interact with every day.

Built Together

Stonekraken came from working together—combining decades of real-world masonry experience with design and fabrication to solve a problem they all knew too well.

Matt saw the problem. Shawn made sure nothing was compromised. Jesse built the solution.

Three different paths. Three different brothers. One shared expectation: build it right.

DO IT RIGHT.

They didn’t set out to make another tool—they set out to make the one they actually wanted to use. The Stonekraken is what came out of that.
